Dave's Alpine Touring: Columbia Icefields

This is a big area. What you see from the highway is only a small fraction of the vast icefield above the Athabasca Headwall. Nearly every peak on the Columbia Icefield is over 11,000 feet. Unfortunately, whiteouts are part of the game up there. It takes lots of attempts to bag something. If you head up there, prepare to spend the weekend in your tent in a whiteout.
