Note for 23 Jun 01: This was an ACC trip led by Frederic Labarre. It was a great day. Partly Cloudy and 17°C. We got a bit lost in the woods which really slowed us down on the way back. Also, with eight people in the group, it just took a lot of time to come down. Very few snow gullies to glissade on.

23 Jun 01 - Here we see Mt. Engadine as seen from the parking area. Basically, you bushwack uphill toward the left skyline ridge. Once you reach the ridge, you pretty much stay on the ridge until you reach the summit. Coming down, you can take one of the gullies coming off the summit. Take a compass bearing while you head through the trees toward the road. It's a dense forest trek, and getting lost is a possibility.

23 Jun 01 - Here we are coming out of the trees heading toward the ridge.

23 Jun 01 - Soon afterwards, we were heading up a gully which would eventually lead to the ridge. As you can see there was a lot of people on the route with us. Being an ACC trip, it's always crowded.

23 Jun 01 - This is Kyle standing on the ridge with the summit shortly behind. The connecting ridge is rather exposed, but the rock is fairly solid. This is a classic ridge scramble, and most people really enjoyed it.

23 Jun 01 - Here we are at the summit. Yeah for everyone.

23 Jun 01 - Coming down through that gully lead to a waterfall which caused some grief for some people. As always, the terrain is actually steeper than it looks since the picture was taken from the bottom of the hill.
