17 Jun 00 - Panorama Ridge was a nice easy jaunt up an avalanche gully. I kind of wish I had done the peak earlier in the year to take advantage of a much longer glissade back down to Babel Creek. The scramble starts at Moraine Lake. Follow the trail to Consolidated Lakes. The trail starts at the Moraine Lake Parking lot and heads over toward the Tower of Babel. It then circles around the Tower of Babel and finally, toward the lakes. The trail gains a little bit of elevation, but for the most part, it's flat.

17 Jun 00 - Once you get to Consolidated Lakes, on your left (east) is Panorama Ridge, and only one thing stands between you and the summit... Babel Creek. I searched for about 15 minutes looking for a way across it, and I even thought of putting down logs, but I finally just ran across it. I got soaked. Anyway, after crossing the creek, you just go up the main gully. When I did it, there was just a little bit of snow, but not much. I wish I had done this peak earlier in the season, so that the returning glissade would have been better.

17 Jun 00 - After you get to the top of the gully, you are on the summit ridge. Turn right, and follow the ridge. Watch out for cornices. There were two summit cairns, but neither of them contained a register.

30 Sep 01 - This is a better picture of Panorama Ridge as seen from the Tower of Babel.
