Note for 30 Sep 06: I went with TJ Neault and Jason Wilcox. We biked the approach to GR355053. We never did find West Elk Pass, but we figured this spot was close enough, and we bushwhacked to the ridge. Very little snow on the route. Sunny, strong wind, 5°C, at the summit.
