Dave's Scrambles: Jasper Area
 |
The Jasper area is supposedly very beautiful. I've never been there, so it's hard
for me to comment on it. To get there from Calgary, take Highway 1 (the TransCanada Highway) out to Lake Louise, then
take the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93) up to Jasper. It's about a 4½ to 5 hour drive. For me, I would have to
drive up there and camp for a while in order to do any scrambling. Otherwise, it's just too far to drive as a day trip.
