Note for 07 Oct 00: Great weather. Sunny with highes around 10°C (50°F) and light winds from the west. The ridge between Pocaterra and Tyrwhitt was free of snow (for the most part). I did this scramble with John and Derek.

Now, this was a fun ridge scramble. There was lots of exposure and it didn't take much energy. To get to Pocaterra, drop down to the northern ridge from Tyrwhitt. Pocaterra has two summits, both have summit cairns, but the northern cairn has the register. For this scramble, I stayed right on the ridge. The west side isnt as exposed as the east side, but there, you have to deal with scree. Just stick to the ridge and watch your footing. This picture by John Ionescu.
