25 Jun 00 - Here are the two summits of Mt. Kidd as seen from the parking lot. The route up
Mt. Kidd North is up the east (right) side of the peak where the snow is located. The route up Mt.
Kidd South is up the back side, around to the left.

25 Jun 00 - For the most part, you can stay in the run-off gully, but toward the bottom of
the gully, you have to go around this waterfall. On a hot day, it might be nice to stand under it.
Later in the season, you might be able to go up it (if it's dry).

13 May 00 - As you hike the approach trail, pass six bridges, then slightly before the seventh, find
an avalanche gully and head up there. Go up that gully, and when
you reach the summit block, go around to the left. Rob and I tried the right side, thinking it was a
short cut. Because of my short cut idea, I now have to try this peak again. Rob and I found ourselves
on the side of a steep icy slope without crampons and only scrambling gear.

13 May 00 - Here is a closer picture of the summit block. Remember to follow the solid red line.
Rob and I went up the right side and got stuck by a headwall. Whoops.

13 May 00 - The best part of spring scrambling is the glissading that you can find. Basically, after
retreating, we made our way back into the gully. There we were able to glissade a little bit. Here we see Rob glissading.
