This trip was done with a bunch of web authors. To gain their perspective of the same trip, check out their websites:

As we left the car and walked to the Nihahi Ridge trailhead, the clouds were just starting to reflect the upcoming sunrise. It was going to be a great day.

The Nihahi Ridge trail is pretty nice. Here we see Andrew coming up the trail.

As you get close to the ridge for the first time, you are faced with a short rock step. You can go up it directly, or follow the trail around it. We went up it. In the picture, you can see Frank and Pete following behind me.

Soon after topping out of the previous picture, you will see the first of many many high points.

Now we are all in a line, slowly plodding along.

Here we see Frank heading to yet another high point.

This is Sonny arriving at an even different high point. Sonny only got 3 hours of sleep before this trip, so he was a bit tired.

Here comes the group arriving at around the 10th high point. In the background, on the right, you can see Banded Peak covered in snow. Also, as you can see, the rain shower skirted around us to the south. Later in the day, we wouldn't be so lucky.

This is more of the ridge still to come. Under the red dot in the extreme distance is the summit. It's a long long way away.

Yet another high point to go up and over. Right to left is Pete, Andrew, Frank, and Sonny.

Here we see Sonny and Pete checking the map. Aren't we there yet!!

During one of our breaks, Andrew decides to have a bottle of Mango juice. Lots of calories in that.

Closer to the summit, and the red dot is getting bigger.

Here comes Frank, almost at the summit. We're already tired, and we've got another mountain to go.

As we sat at the north summit of Nihahi Ridge, a storm rolled in. Minutes before it hit us, we were treated to views of a rainbow over Compression Ridge.

This is Pete flipping through the register. Surprisingly, it didn't have many entries in it. In the far distance, you can see the rest of the group coming along.

Here we all are at the summit. Left to Right we have Sonny, Pete, Andrew (facing the other way) and Frank.

After finishing the Nihahi Ridge traverse, we continued our journey across Compression Ridge. For the full set of pictures, check out the Compression Ridge Page.
