19 Jun 99 - It was a very cloudy weekend when I was down in the Crowsnest Area, so my pictures aren't that good,
but here we see the south east side of Mt. Tecumseh.... well, at least the bottom half. This climb starts at Phillips
Pass, which can be reached in from either the east or west sides of the Alberta/BC border. The book explains both
approaches quite nicely. Since I didn't have a four-wheel drive and would have to walk, I took the shorter east
approach (3.3km). I parked as Kane suggested, and I walked up the gravel road to the top of Phillip's Pass. The
approach took me about 40 minutes, each way.

19 Jun 99 - From the top of Phillip's Pass, look for a dried up creek bed. The creek bed is the trail.
Actually, you can either stay in the creek, which will involve lots of scrambling, or you can take the animal
trails up the sides of the creek. Going up, I stayed in the creek and had tons of fun scrambling up the smooth
rocks, but coming down, I stayed on the sides of the creek.

19 Jun 99 - Once you reach the top of the creek bed, you will come to a steep section with big rocks. Go
up the rocks, and then turn left around a pointed sub-peak. Rounding this, you'll be back into some trees and facing
Phillip's Peak. Continue toward Phillip's Peak for about 10-15 minutes, then head up scree slopes on the right to
the Tecumseh ridge. Once you reach the ridge, the summit will be directly in front of you.
