Note for 05 May 01: This was a busted weekend due to weather, but we had some time on our hands and throught we would try it despite snowy conditions. We got about 500 ft below the nipple, then we turned back due to verglass everywhere.

Note for 27 May 01: What a difference a couple of weeks make. This time, it was bone dry. 29°C (84°F), sunny, and very little breeze. It was a great day and a good chance to get those legs back into scrambling.

27 May 01 - Here we see Squaw's Tit as seen from the information center in Canmore. It was a hot day that day.

05 May 01 - What a difference a couple of weeks can make. Here we see my first attempt. There was still a lot of snow on the ridge. This picture also gives you an idea of the dense trees you'll have to navigate through. This is the first time I entered a forest approach under a compass heading, but I'm glad I did.

05 May 01 - Here we see Tom standing on the ridge. At this point, we are out of the trees and on the main summit ridge/slab. This is where we started to encounter a lot of verglass, and eventually decided to turn back.

05 May 01 - Here we see the summit nipple all covered in snow and ice.

27 May 01 - 22 days later, the rock is dry and warm. Here we see the summit nipple. The route goes up along the left side until you are at the base of the skyline slope. That's where you head up. The rock is pretty solid at this point.

27 May 01 - Finally, here you see myself at the summit. Hurray for Dave!!!
