23 Sep 01 - Rundle is a very long mountain lining the
entire south side of the Bow Corridor between Canmore and Banff. The western end is the highest part, but
often people will climb the east end. I've done both sides, and hopefully one day,
I will actually traverse the entire thing. Here we see the east end of Rundle as
seen from the TransCanada Highway in Canmore. The trail runs right along the left
edge. Picture by Colin Besler.

29 Sep 97 - Here we see the east end of Rundle as seen from Chinaman's Peak.
The trail runs right along the edge, and with the wind I experienced on that day,
I felt like I was going to be blown right off the mountain.

29 Sep 97 - Here is a sample of the trail going through the woods.
As you can see, I wasn't kidding when I said it went right along the edge.

29 Sep 97 - After you break the treeline, you come closer to the
center of the mountain, at which point you're faced with a rock band, which you have
to climb. Make note of the way you came up the rockband. On the way down, it might
not be obvious.

|
29 Sep 97 - Once you clear the rock band, there is nothing in your
way. Just a few more feet and you're at the top. Once at the top, you can see the
traverse. One day I will traverse this mountain.

29 Sep 97 - Here is a picture of myself at the summit. As you can see, it was cold.
Behind me, you can see Grotto Mountain.
