Elk are probably the most common animal that I see in the mountains. I see them everywhere, even in downtown Banff!!!! This is a bull elk that came strolling through our campground at Tunnell Mtn in Banff. It was a nice 7-pointer.   This is another bull elk I saw on the side of TransCanada between Lake Louise and Banff.   Usually, when I see Elk, they are in a heard like this. I don't often see the bull elk like the ones above. Here are a couple pictures of elk that I've seen off Highway 40 just north of Highwood Pass.   |
