28 Oct 01 - Ice season started a bit early this year, so we tried some of the seepages we heard we in. When we
saw this one, we knew it would be a day for stubbies only. The ice was pretty thin. Nonetheless, what else
are you going to do in October. This was better than nothing.

28 Oct 01 - This shows moonshadow gully way on the right. At this point, it hasn't formed. On the
left side of the picture, you can see Marshall Arts. Evidently the left side, which has the fatter ice,
is bolted, but we were climbing the thin stuff on the right. We climbed up to the top of the red line,
which was 60 metres.

28 Oct 01 - This is on the way out of for the day. We see Rob looking at some other slopes while John takes the picture
of Marshall Arts

28 Oct 01 - Here we see John leading it. John leads all of the "dicey" stuff. He's braver than everyone else.
In the middle of the climb, he couldn't place any protection, not even stubbies.

28 Oct 01 - Here I am belaying John. I'm standing in the deep snow, but it gives an idea of the steepness of the
climb. Although, parts of the climb were just off vertical, most of it was the same slope shown here.

28 Oct 01 - Here is one more picture of John leading with me belaying.
