Note for 28 Jan 06: I went with Blair Piggot. Ankle-deep snow, about -8°C with light flurries. We were very disappointed in this climb. We thought it was about 250m of climbing. Other than a 50m pitch and a short 15m pitch, the rest of the climb was just hiking. We actually kept hiking up the gully looking for the rest of the ice. Nothing. Click here for a detailed report

This is the majority of the climb. This was taken when we first arrived at the base. We figured this would be one of the easier steps. Except for a short pillar above this pitch, this is all there was.

This is looking across the valley toward King Creek and Brock Mtn

This is Blair leading the first pitch of ice. I should probably pay more attention to the belay than to taking pictures. I guess that's the disadvantage to only going with two people.

After wondering around looking for ice, we decided to head back down. Here is Blair on rappel.
