Lady Wilson's Cleavage
Total Height:
Technical Grade:
984 ft (300M)
WI 3
Note for 29 Nov 01: I went with Mike Tillotson and Tom McMahn. Temperatures were around -15°C (5°F). Exits weren't quite formed yet, so we had to do some interesting dry tooling to complete some of the steps. Also, water was exposed at the base of most of the iceflows. Mike and I got soaked.

25 Mar 01 - We tried the climb on the 25th, but it wasn't formed at all. After talking to the Wardens on the 28th, we got a report that it was in, so we went back to check things out. The ice was climbable, but the exits didn't have much ice and the pools of water at the base of most of the iceflows were open. Mike and I both fell into one that went past our knees. Not a pleasant feeling when the temperatures were around -15°C.

29 Mar 01 - The Cleavage is just a series of steps. It's very similar to This House of Sky in the Ghost. Here a couple of the bigger steps toward the beginning of the gully.

29 Mar 01 - Similar picture as the one above. If you look closely, you can see Tom and Mike.
