03 Nov 01 - Bison wasn't a planned outing, but we were driving up the Icefields Parkway, and we saw it
from the car, so we stopped, and away we went. Bison Falls is the "fatter stuff" on the left. The stuff on the
right is called Transparent Fool. In this condition, you would be a fool to climb it.

03 Nov 01 - This is some of the approach ice. We were soloing up, and when Tom got to the top, he couldn't find any
ice. I decided to downclimb and walk up on the side. Eventually we all met at the base of the main climb.

03 Nov 01 - This is Bison Falls. Rob led this, and he went up on the right side of the centre rock. Tom and I followed.
|
03 Nov 01 - Here we see Rob leading. He's actually placing pro right here. Because the ice was so bad, he placed two
stubbies and equalised them. Rob is a really safe climber.

03 Nov 01 - Here is another picture of Rob still working on that screw.

03 Nov 01 - This is a picture of Transparent Fool. While we were climbing, it was very warm. Most of this ice
fell down, so it might be a while before it forms again.

03 Nov 01 - Here is some of the lower part of Bison Falls. It had not formed yet.
