Calgary

When I first told everybody I was moving to Calgary, most of my friends were rather surprised. Everybody was telling me what a big change it was going to be. I just told everybody that it wasn't a big deal. A northern American city is a northern American city, blah, blah, blah. To me, it didn't matter if it was Canada or the U.S. I mean, isn't Canada the 51st state anyway? Actually, when I finally arrived in Canada, I noticed some really big differences, some good, some bad. Overall, I've become quite accustomed to living up here, and I really like it, but there are some things I miss about the US. The purpose of the following pages is to give you an idea of what it's like to live here.

Pictures of Calgary
I have collected tons of pictures of Calgary. Some of the pictures are mine, and some are postcards, but I've got most of the pictures from looking at other public domain websites. Together, they make quite a nice collection. I've even grouped them for you:

Canadian Vocabulary
I have learned that Canadian's have their own vocabulary. They mispronounce words, add useless words, and even conjure up strange phrases. This is worth a good laugh!!!

What I like and don't like about living here
This page explains the good things and bad things about Calgary. In other words, this is my chance to bitch about living up here, but at the same time, really brag about the neat things Calgary has to offer.
