Responsibilities including liaising with the business managers and directors to determine project business requirements, both long-term and short-term. These requirements are then converted into functional specifications and integrated with an overall IT strategy/design while also aligning with corporate goals and initiatives. Responsibilities also include leading a team of business and technical staff to build, test and implement solutions. As a project manager, I am also responsible for negotiating deadlines and deliverables with the business clients, adequately staffing projects as required, presenting to senior management, and estimating, obtaining and maintaining budgets for such projects. Projects include award-winning educational application, corporate-wide enterprise systems, large web-based initiatives, small client/server applications, and process automation enhancements.

Responsibilities included implementing the OpenLink Endur risk management product. I also assisted in the creation of econometric forecasting models for natural gas prices, managed the custom development requirements for PanCanadian's Gas Marketing Division, mapped business processes for the potential of process automation, conducted cost-benefit analysis on potential projects, gathered project requirements, managed simultaneous projects, and facilitated weekly meetings with project sponsors. Other duties included overseeing the design and development of PanCanadian's internal HR applications using the corporate web architecture, including WebObjects, Solaris, and iPlanet technologies. I developed and managed applications, which gave managers the ability to assign bonuses, stock options, salary changes and promotions through a web-based system. Further, employees were able to receive their pay slips online and print their own employment confirmation letters through a web-based interface. For all HR projects, I met daily with the executive business sponsor to ensure project scope, budget, specifications, design and development remained inline.

Responsibilities included the design, development, management, and maintenance of Agrium's internal and external web environment. This included the requirement analysis, project proposal, project management, budgeting, staffing, corporate web architecture decisions, application design and programming. Projects included the development of online shopping carts, auctions, discussion forums, company surveys, online benefit elections, corporate phone books, external order tracking systems, as well as the creation of a web-based CDROM for the distribution of information, which is capable of being updated via the Internet. While at Agrium, I developed the entire corporate web architecture including operating systems, web servers, proxy servers, SSL connections, corporate and customer LDAP directories, and established coding standards and language sets for Agrium’s web environment. In regard to project management, I successfully managed projects from initiation to implementation to system enhancements and upgrades. I conducted frequent meetings with the business sponsors for each project to ensure the projects were on time, within budget, and satisfying the needs of the business.

In regard to Communications Analyst, responsibilities included the maintenance of NrG's corporate website and the company's FERC compliant solution for posting non-transactional data in the natural gas industry. In regard to EDM Support Analyst, responsibilities included the development and maintenance of NrG's EDM services. Other duties included the creation and development of internal websites for testing CGI applications and documenting/sharing company information.
